Cuma gecesi yola çıktık ve Kabatepe'den saat 08:00 deki feribot ile Gökçeada'ya geçtik. Eski feribotlara denk gelirseniz 1 saat 40 dk sürüyor, yeniler ise 1 saat 15 dk da varıyor. İnsan çok normal olarak hep Bozcaada ile karşılaştırma yaparken buluyor kendini Gökçeada'da ilk zamanlar ama sonrasında bundan vazgeçiyor. Bozcada'dan çok farklı, ilk olarak feribotun yanaştığı Kuzu Limanı Bozcaada gibi adanın merkezinde değil, adanın merkezine araba ile 10 dk mesafede. Adanın merkezi iç kesimde, deniz göremiyorsunuz, bu enteresan geliyor açıkçası.
We were off to Gökçeada (Imbros) on Friday night and we took a ferry from Kabatepe to Gökçeada (Imbros) on Saturday morning at 8 am. It takes 1 hour and 40 minutes by the old ferry and it takes 1 hour 15 minutes by the new ferry. We found ourselves whilst comparing the island with Bozcaada in the begining and then we gave up comparing because they are very different. First of all, the center of Gökçeada (Imroz) is not situated at seaside and you cannot see the sea from the center of the island and the port is not in the center, it takes 10 minutes from the port to center by car.
Gökçeada irili ufaklı köylerden oluşuyor. Biz Kaleköy'de konakladık, iyi ki de burda kalmışız, adanın sahil kıyısındaki bu köyü en hareketli olanı. Biz Kale Motel'de kaldık, yalnız Amenos Hotel adında butik bir otel gördüm kü aklım orada kalmadı değil, dışarıdan görünüşü gayet hoştu. Gökçeada'ya gidecekler mutlaka araştırsın.
There are more than 10 villages in Gokceada. Our hotel was at Kaleköy, which is at seaside and more active comparing to the other villages. The name of our hotel is Kale Motel, there is also a boutique hotel in Kalekoy named Anemos, which seems to be a nice hotel, fyi.

We climbed to the castle to see the sunset, however as the sun was behind the clouds, we couldn't.
Zeytinliköy, Tepeköy ve Dereköy Rum köyleri, kesinlikle görmelisiniz. Zeytinliköy'de mutlaka sakızlı muhallebi ve dibek kahvesi içmelisiniz. Biz Panayot Usta ile Madam Amirsa'yı tercih ettik. Panayot Ortodoks Hristiyanın ruhani lideri olan 1.Bartholomeos'un yeğeni, oturduğunuz kahvenin üst katı ise 1.Bartholomeos'un doğduğu evmiş, yılda birkaç kez doğduğu köyü ziyarete gelirmiş. Sakızlı muhallebi sakızlı dondurma ile servis ediliyor ve çok lezzetliydi.
Zeytinliköy, Tepeköy and Dereköy are Greek villages and you must see both of them. You must eat pudding with mastic and drink dibek coffee. We preferred the place of Panayot Usta, who is the nephew of the spiritual leader of Orthodox Christians, 1.Bartholomeos who was born in Zeytinliköy and visit his village few time in a year. 1.Bartholomeos was born in the house which is now a coffee of Panayot Usta. The pudding is served with ice cream with mastic and it's so delicious.

En hazin köy Dereköy, çünkü Dereköy bir zamanlar Adanın merkezi konumundayken şimdi terkedilmiş bir Rum köyü. Söylenene göre buraya iskan sebebiyle birkaç hane Türk getirildiğinde Rumlar Türklere çok eziyet etmiş, bunu gören yönetim buranın yakınına yarı açık bir cezaevi yaptırmış ve azılı mahkumları buraya getirmişler, bu mahkumların da Rum halkında eziyet ettiği söyleniyor. Bu eziyete dayanamayan Rum nüfus evlerini bırakarak göç ediyorlar, kimisi Atina, kimisi Amerika, kimisi yakını olan diğer ülkelere. Fotoğrafları gördüğünüzde sizin de içiniz cız edecek kesin.
Dereköy's the other name should be sorrowful. In the past, Dereköy was the center of the Island, now it is a deserted village. As said, some Turkish families were brought to this village due to a housing control and Greek people behaved cruelly to Turish people. Because of this cruelty, Government established a half-open prison and wild sentenced people was brought to this prison. Those guys also behaved cruelly to Greek people and Greek people left the village and went to the other countries. When you see the photos, you will get upset.

Tepeköy, Barba Yorgo ile tanınıyor. Barba Yorgo'nun üzüm bağı var ve şarap üretiyor. Aynı zamanda bir restaurantı var, biz gittiğimizde malesef restaurant kısmı kapanmıştı. Burada şarap tadımı yapabilir ve Barba Yorgo şaraplarından satın alabilirsiniz.
Tepeköy is known with Barba Yorgo, who has a wineyard and produces his wine. Barba Yorgo also has a tavern, which is closed when we were there. You can taste his types of wine and buy your favourites.
Gelelim Gökçeada'nın denizine. Bozcaada'ya göre çok daha sıcak, rahatlıkla girebilirsiniz. Biz Kefaloz'da denize girdik, su muhteşemdi. Burada dilerseniz rüzgar sörfü de yapabilirsiniz. Sörf eğitim merkezinin restaurantında yemek de yiyebilirsiniz.
